SSFIV:AE Offline Mode Crippled For PC

All in the hopes of combating piracy and hackers. For those of you wishing to play the PC version of Capcom’s Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, make sure you have an online connection. Due to a new DRM “feature” imbedded into the title, the offline mode will sport a sort of demo version of the game with only 15 of the 39 characters accessible, zero use of DLC, and no saving your progress.

The game will require a player to sign in to Games for Windows Live in order to access all the online features of the game. Should you lose connection during a fight however, you may continue to finish whatever you were doing and after a “logical break point” the game will prompt you to log back in.
