Sony Faces Another Database Hack

This time originating from Greece that involves Sony BMG. The company just can’t catch a break now can it? It appears the electronics giant had more security holes than a hunk of swiss cheese with the latest database of being broken into. The breach compromises 8,385 accounts and their credentials, including their real names and email addresses.

The hacker, named b4d_vipera, apparently used an SQL injection method to penetrate the website and execute commands. He has kindly not posted some more sensitive information such as telephone numbers, but still claims to be in possession. Sony’s website is currently down and the Pastebin information he posted appears to have been taken down as well.
