Nvidia Confirms AMD SLI Support

A couple weeks ago leaks of internal documents from Nividia talking about SLI on new AMD chipsets leaked, but until now Nvidia has refused to comment on them. Today on their blog, Nvidia has announced that it is official. The 990FX, 990X, and 970 chipsets from AMD will all support SLI. ASUS, ASRock, Gigabyte, and MSI are the currently confirmed manufactures signed on to produce boards with SLI enabled. Support from more vendors will likely come before launch. This pretty much confirms that Nvidia is done making chipsets, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. If Bulldozer ends up being good this will be great for consumers as they will now be able to use any multi-GPU configuration on both AMD and Intel chipsets. It will be interesting to see how SLI works between both platforms as well.
