More fuel from Nintendo for the E3 fire train. While an upgraded Wii has been discussed for quite a while now, just recently, both Game Informer and IGN have been citing odd sources of a next generation home console coming for Nintendo.
Both sites have stated that the console would be HD-enabled and more powerful than the current console top dogs: The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. IGN also mentions that all Wii games will be backwards compatible with the new console, scheduled for release in 2012 and possibly announced before or during E3.
We’ll keep you posted as more rumors news become available.
