Crysis 2 DX11 Patch in 2-3 Months

After all of the commotion surrounding a DX11 patch on March 28th it looks like the wait will be a bit longer than expected. Eurogamer is reporting that they have an inside source that told them the DX11 patch wont be ready for another 2-3 months. Oddly enough they were also told that DX10 wont be supported. Only DX11 will be available since DX10 is “rendered obsolete by DirectX 11.”

A patch was also released today that addressed cheaters, but it did not have DX11. Let’s have community manager Cry-Tom break it down for us.

Today we released the first of a number of security updates, accounts that we have identified as exploiting an unfair advantage have been reset and if the activity persists they will be banned permanently. If you find yourself being kicked from every MP game it is because our systems have detected you cheating. We will continue to update anti-cheat software in Crysis 2 and strive for a cheat-free community.

Obviously, the best course of action at this time is to simply check their forums for updates.
