Farmville is worth more than EA

You know that facebook game called Farmville? That game is worth more than Electronic Arts.

BusinessWeek reports that the net worth of the privately held company Zynga is worth 5.51 Billion versus the video game giant EA’s worth of 5.22 Billion.

Farmville makes its money off of micro-transactions and partnerships with other online companies. On the other side of the coin EA makes their money from developing big budget titles that cost $50 to $60 dollars each. The two companies are doing well, but it shows us the contrast between the two successful business models. Even google has invested $100 million dollars into Farmville.
