Activision Blizzard Acts on Obama’s Education Plan

The master plan to master science and technology through gaming gets a big push. Activision Blizzard has partnered with the White House to produce education video games. Let’s turn to Activision’s Chief Public Policy Officer, George Rose.

Investing in, and collaborating on STEM education has been a priority for our company. STEM literacy is a business imperative for our nation’s economic excellence, success and citizenship. Our collaboration will not only help students, but will revive our economy, fuel our competitiveness, and ultimately empower our nation.

Who else has joined this educational initiative? Currently, Time Warner Cable, Intel and Xerox also support the plan. Let’s take a look at Obama’s original message.

Our success as a nation depends on strengthening America’s role as the world’s engine of discovery and innovation. I applaud Change the Equation for lending their resources, expertise, and their enthusiasm to the task of strengthening America’s leadership in the 21st century by improving education in science, technology, engineering and math.

Does this mean we will see more Math Blaster games soon or maybe a math oriented Call of Duty?
