StarCraft 2 Review

It’s been a long time since the first StarCraft was released, and it’s finally about time to put the second game under review.

Epic Video Review

Epic single player campaign: There are a ton of epic cut-scenes that tells the story extremely well. You also get to upgrade your units, hire mercenaries, and research specific abilities in the science lab.

Balanced Multiplayer: Blizzard had a beta before the official game launched to ensure that the multiplayer experience was balanced.

Custom Games: We kid you not, there are so many things you can do with the editor. It seems like there is no limit to what you can accomplish with the editor the game comes with.

We want more! The ending wrapped somethings up nicely, but there is still more of StarCraft 2’s story to be told. We can’t wait for the expansion! We just hope it is reasonably priced.

No LAN support: This is a big upset for some hardcore fans out there. Lan support is a must for some StarCraft gamers out there.

Some old units aren’t available in multiplayer: It would have been cool to be able to use every single unit from the single player game in mutilplayer, but Blizzard must have made the cut for balancing purposes. In addition, the new units seem to replace the old units anyway.

Region Restrictions: Blizzard used their mighty restriction hammer in order to keep individuals in other regions from playing with one another. We tried to play with PS member Assa online and we could not even add each other on our friend’s lists. The multiplayer may be very frustrating when you are trying to play with a good friend from another country.

Overall, StarCraft 2 is an epic game. You are really missing out if you try to avoid this title because of the flaws mentioned in this review. If you can look past those annoyances, you will have one hell of a time playing StarCraft 2.
