China Starts their own Real ID System

Chinese gamers will be required to user their real names online. Earlier we reported on how Vietnam was severely restricting online gaming. China is also apparently a major player in limiting online gaming. Not only will users have to use their real names, but China also want to restrict the amount of time each user games. At this point in time there isn’t a strict limit imposed by the Chinese government, but game developers will have to set a time table to coincide with their own games.

Game designers are also supposed to limit the time children can spend on games, although the regulation does not specify what an acceptable period of time would be or what game companies must do to comply.

Furthermore, games that are targeted at kids are not suppose to contain “law-breaking and anti-social behavior.”
