Gameplay Teaser:
Opening Cinematic:
Malthael, the fallen Archangel of Wisdom, returns as the Angel of Death in Diablo III’s first expansion set: Reaper of Souls. Having seized the powerful Black Soulstone for his own nefarious purposes, it now falls to players to track down Malthael and stop him before he unleashes irreversible havoc on the world. Fortunately, a new hero is ready to join the cause and bring Malthael to justice.
Diablo III’s Paragon progression system is also being majorly upgraded for the expansion, adding even more end-game character advancement and replayability. Two new game modes—Loot Runs and Nephalem Trials—are being added as well, providing fun and rewarding challenges for players to tackle when they’re not busy saving the world.
Wait, so, the expansion is only 1 act? No inscription or is that then enchanting items? Looks awesome but I’ve been SO disappointed with D3 that im not sure i want to shell out 40 bucks for 1 more act… i could just easily watch play-throughs so i can see the story. and i want Leah back!!! >:(
Edit:
Blizzard has put a bad taste in my mouth since SC2 to be honest. The whole 3 part thing is annoying and is expensive, HotS was a let down, story-wise and gameplay wise, and incredibly short, not worth 40 dollars in my opinion. D3 was fun but too much like WoW, the customability is gone and there is NO end game besides item grinding. Not to mention RMAH completely destroyed the in-game economy. You can definitely tell that they have been focusing most on WoW and kind of let D3 and sc2 fall to the sides a little. MoP has has been a great expansion
Unless they make some MAJOR revamps to D3 with this expansion, it too, will be a let down.
Ill still buy Sc2: into the void (or w/e this next one is called) just because I’m more emotionally invested in that game story than any other blizzard game. Fenix is alive, damn it!
Hopefully they’ll release more than one new class. Otherwise if you join a party, it’s going to be filled with Crusaders. XD
