Conclusion
The GTX 780 is rather pricey for an entrance into the 7 series. However, the card manages to come close to a GTX Titan. In fact, when you overclock the card you can actually get it to perform better than the $1000 Titan. Overall, the 780 although expensive, manages to perform pretty well in comparison to its big brother the Titan and it may be worth checking out if you are an enthusiast looking for a new GPU.
That’s good that GeForce Experience is out of Beta – I quite like it.
However, does anyone (if they use it) know how you remove games from the games list? I’ve got entries there multiple times, and some aren’t even installed.
EDIT: Never mind, it is apparently an option in the new release (1.5).
At least it’s more affordable than the Titan while being relatively close.
Still this reminds me of the 8800 Ultra, except they’ve made the price of entry translate into real world gains a lot better.
Now I shall (hope)/wait for price drops to hit 7950s and slide a second one into my rig.
I’m planning to get a 780 in August so if you don’t have a second 7950 by then I’ll be selling mine.
Good to know, I’ll keep that in mind.
Very overpriced… Most likely cause it’s new tech and nvidia has to get its cash back? Either way, it’s a good card 🙂
The 8 series from AMD will take a while too, so they have the top of single gpu cards all to themselves 🙂 If they make a dual 780, then that’s their’s too ;P
