MGS Ground Zeroes May Come to the PC

A jobs listing on Gamasutra is looking for a programmer for high-end consoles and PC. Of course at this time we aren’t sure if this is merely a typo, but the MGS franchise has seen the PC side a few times in the past with Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2. So, Konami isn’t exactly a stranger to the PC. Since those two games have been released, both Metal Gear Solid 3 and 4 along with other games such as Metal Gear Rising have dodged the PC platform.

Kojima Productions will be returning to the GDC Career Pavilion (March 6th – 9th) to search for skillful engineers, artists, and game creators including:

  • Project engineers for the latest Metal Gear Solid targeted for high-end consoles and PC
  • Engineers to help develop next-gen game engine technology for use with the “FOX Engine.”
  • Kojima Productions Brand Manager

However, perhaps they are now interested in the now matured digital market with applications such as Steam, Origin, and Impulse bringing more sales and streamlining the install process for games. Furthermore, it is uncertain, if they do in fact plan to release a PC version, if it will be delayed or release with its console counterparts.
