Chinese Ripoff Company Threatens to Sue Apple

If Apple releases the iPhone 5.

I’m not quite sure if this is suppose to be a joke or a marketing stunt, but no matter which it is, the hornets’ nest is being seriously poked.

For those in the dark, a Chinese company called Goophone recently released a smartphone that was based entirely around the design of leaked iPhone 5 photos.

That same company is now threatening to sue Apple if they release the iPhone 5 simply because they came out with the Goophone i5 “first”. They even released this threatening promotional video using terrible English:

These are the specifications:
Display: 4.7 inch screen, 1280×720
OS: Android 4.1
SoC: Quad-core Tegra 3 processor
RAM: 1GB RAM
Price: ~$200

Like before, I’m not entirely sure if this is suppose to be a marketing stunt or a joke. It’s on Goophone’s main website and after checking through it, they also appear to have copies of other popular smartphones, including the Samsung Galaxy S III.

In the event that they are actually serious about this. I… I don’t even… I don’t know.
