Microsoft E3 2012 Conference Summary

Microsoft is back at E3 once again, but was this year any different than the previous two years? In the past, E3 has been a rather disappointing experience for Xbox gamers since the past two conferences were all about sport games, the Kinect, and Call of Duty. So, is this year the one that shocks gamers or will it just fall inline with past experiences? Let’s take a look at what took place.

  • Halo 4 Trailer with gameplay and it will be released on November 5th 2012
  • Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Black List Trailer and gameplay. It will be released Spring 2013
  • FIFA 13 and Madden 13 Kinect demo
  • Fable the Journey for Kinect trailer
  • Gears of War: Judgement Trailer and it will come out in 2013

  • Xbox Bing search demo with multiple languages supported
  • Microsoft is partnering with Nickelodeon and Paramount for content
  • Microsoft is going to launch Xbox Music with 30million tracks available
  • Microsoft is partnering with Digital Sport from Nike for Kinect Training

Overall, the conference was a bit better than the previous years, but it was still what people expected. Microsoft decided to keep their next console under wraps for even longer and it looks like we will have to wait until next E3 to finally take a look at the next generation from Microsoft.
