Intel is taking a lot of flack for a fake demonstration on their Ivy Bridge based processors during CES 2012. Youtube member, networkworld managed to catch the embarrassing moment for the company below.
Before Mooly Eden, Corporate Vice President and General Manager of Intel, starts playing the game you will notice that VLC media player’s user interface pops up on the screen in the footage above. In an attempt to backpedal at the last minute Eden states that there is someone playing backstage. However, it is clear that this is a video playing and it is not running in real time.
oh intel, why do you keep attempting to make gpus is beyond me (if you can call them gpus)
Because their integrated gpus has like 60% of the gpu market

That’s a horrible mistake. Rather than fabricating live demonstrations, they should be honest and say they are showing a video. I know it’s less impressive that way, but it’s much better than getting caught in a lie.
