Another big Korean-made MMO steps onto the free-to-play bandwagon. Perhaps spurred on by Lineage II going the free-to-play route last month, NCsoft has announced one of its other big MMOs, Aion, would follow the same path for Europe. The CryEngine-based MMO sports over 3 Million subscribers along with updated graphical enhancements thanks to a patch released last year.
So for all you lucky Europeans, have fun playing a boring, monotonous grindfest that is a staple of most Korean MMOs gorgeously designed game with a vast landscape… for free!

Only way I’m playing another korean mmo is if they pay me.
Regardless of how bad the game is (never played it, so I don’t know) It’s interesting to see that more MMO’s are joining the free to play bandwagon. I wonder if/when WoW will ever go fully free to play. Perhaps when it is on it’s last leg? That is, assuming people will break their addiction and stop playing that game… 😆
