Here’s to hoping that EA’s entire library doesn’t disappear from Valve’s digital distribution service. Following the departure of Crysis 2 and Battlefield 3‘s lack of confirmed support for Steam, EA’s Dragon Age II is the latest game title to disappear from the service.
The cause allegedly stems from Dragon Age II‘s Legacy DLC, which is only available through the in-game store. This however, violates Steam’s most recent terms of service, causing the boot. Gamers should be keen to note however, that other EA games such as Mass Effect 2 use a similar system to sell their DLC; it is unclear at this time if they will also be affected.
We’ll keep you posted.

Dragon who?
These new terms of service seem real stupid. I’m starting to distant myself from steam. Gamersgate is better in my opinion, you buy a game and you own it, no need to play it through steam.
As of now I am still a Steam supporter, but it appears that Origin may provide some decent competition with it after all. I’ve never used, or even heard of, Gamersgate, so the only services I will be a part of are Steam and Origin (once Battlefield 3 is released). I used to use Gamespy back in the day, but I don’t plan to touch that ever again! 😆
