If you thought Apple’s patent lawsuit against HTC was ridiculous, Microsoft’s new accuser brings in more of the same absurdities. Impulse Technology, a firm based in Ohio, is suing Microsoft for allegedly infringing on seven of their patents over technology used in Microsoft’s Kinect device.
Two of the patents are as follows:
US Patent 7,791,808 – “System and method for tracking and assessing movement skills in multidimensional space.”
US Patent 6,749,432 – “Education system challenging a subject’s physiologic and kinesthetic systems to synergistically enhance cognitive function.”
The suit also names publishers such as EA among the defendants for making games for the Kinect.

This patent makes it sound like he could sue Nintendo or Sony as well .
This is getting silly now. What’s next, someone suing for the patent on the Eye Toy? 😆
But in all seriousness, I’m willing to bet the next one will have something to do with 3D TVs.
