Plug it in… No that’s the wrong way! Wouldn’t it be nice not to worry about which way we have to plug-in our USB devices? Welcome USB type C, a bidirectional cable and port conceived by the USB 3.0 Promoter Group. This new type of cable will be built upon the existing USB 3.1 specification.
A lot of smiles maybe going around about now, and it’s about time considering Apple has already come out with their own reversible Lightning connector. Of course, this new USB cable is also backward compatible with USB 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 with the addition of an adapter. Lastly, USB type C is about the size of a Micro-USB connector and should start popping up sometime in mid to late 2014.
