Final Fantasy VIII Arrives on Steam

Squall

It was inevitable afterall. Conveniently released after the Steam Autumn Sale, Square-Enix avoided having to discount the re-release of the PC version of Final Fantasy VIII. Unfortunately for them, many gamers currently have their wallets ripped apart having spent most of their money on other games…. as well items from the likes of Amazon and Newegg.

Coming in at $12, the PC version follows in the footsteps of FF7’s release; it comes with a “booster”, but it’s nowhere near as ridiculous as FF7’s because of the leveling system in FF8. Sadly, the PC version retains its PC music, so you’ll just have to wait for a modder to come along and implement the orchestrated tracks.
