With only one new class in the Diablo 3 expansion, fans are crying out for devs to add another one. There has been a lot of talk about the Druid and Necromancer making a comeback, but when it comes to the Necromancer specifically, a lot of gamers still feel a bit let down since Blizzard stated that the Witchdoctor took the Necro’s spot. You may actually be surprised, but there was a Necromancer NPC in Diablo 3 that triggered an event.
According to community manager, Vaeflare, the Necromancer will be making a return in Reaper of Souls as well.
If you’re keen to see what the Necromancer has been up to since the events of Diablo III, you’ll be pleased to know that you’ll have the opportunity to meet up with him once more in Reaper of Souls!
Unfortunately, Vaeflare also pointed out Josh Mosqueira’s statement, which states that there wont be a new class in addition to the Crusador in the expansion.
Also as Josh Mosqueira stated in the interview with King Konger and elsewhere, we do not currently have any plans to add another class to the expansion. We feel the Crusader class is a truly epic, and fitting addition to Reaper of Souls, and we’re excited to share more about it with you in the months ahead. 🙂
So, there you have it, it seems that the Diablo 3 expansion will only have one new class instead of following in the foots steps of the Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction expansion pack, where Blizzard introduced the Druid and Assassin.
