Destiny PC version Still Up in the Air at Bungie

Bungie is still not sure if they will make a PC version of their upcoming multiplatform game, Destiny. So, while PS4 and Xbox one users are in the clear PC gamers will have to cross their fingers.

Having a Bungie franchise come to the PC isn’t anything new. However, Gearbox handled the port of the first Halo and Microsoft Game Studios handled the port of the second Halo. If Bungie does go the PC route it will be interesting to see if they would handle the port themselves. Considering both of the new consoles are essentially using PC tech it wouldn’t exactly be a major step to make a version for PC gamers. Here’s what community head, Eric Osborne, had to say about the possibility of porting Destiny to the PC in an interview with IGN.

We haven’t said yes, and we haven’t said no. The more platforms we take on, the more work it ultimately becomes, and what we don’t want is to compromise the core experience on any platforms. We have a lot of people who play on PCs. We have a lot of appetite to build that experience. We haven’t announced it yet, but we’re looking forward to talking more about that kind of stuff in the future.

Destiny will also be revealed at Sony’s E3 2013 press conference on Monday, June 10th at 6pm Pacific (9pm eastern).
