Two popular Final Fantasy games may be making their way onto Steam. According to two different database entries both Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII will hit Valve’s digital distribution platform. Unfortunately, there is no official announcement of the releases at this time, but we will keep you posted.

Yes, I believe FF7 may have had some sort of entry a while back. I don’t recall hearing much about 8 though. Perhaps, something more concrete will come into light in the near future.
