World of Warcraft Loses 1.3 Million Subscribers

Mists of Pandaria

Even the might of the Thunder King could not stave off the exodus of tired gamers. Having finally reached its pinnacle in 2010, the aging game is slowly dispersing its players after they have exhausted their exploration spirit traversing Pandaria.

Down 1.3 Million subscribers in 3 months isn’t small, but the game still retains an 8 million strong paying consumer base; many of them with multiple maxed out characters and treasure troves of glimmering gold. We’ll just need the next expansion to come out soon for a boost. Or a new game altogether.
