Next Xbox to be Called Fusion?

Right now everyone is trying to play a guessing game to determine the name for the next Xbox console in a similar fashion to the Wii U. Before Nintendo’s console launched there were a bunch of names up in the air. Some individuals believed it would be called, Wii 2, Stream, Wiiii, or the Wii HD. However, Nintendo actually called the system the Wii U.

The next Xbox is no different, in this case current rumors suggest that Microsoft will call the new console the Xbox 720, Xbox 8, Xbox infinity, or Xbox Next. However, a website by the name of fusible.com has taken note of a few domain names that were registered by Microsoft, which suggest a different name for the new console. According to the new domains, the next Xbox will actually be called the Xbox Fusion. Yes, we didn’t see that coming either. When checked against other domains with the other rumored names, we can get a clear picture.

Xbox720.com (WHOIS) – Microsoft does not own the domain.

XboxInfinity.com (WHOIS) – Microsoft does not own the domain.

Xbox8.com (WHOIS) -Microsoft does not own the domain.

XboxDurango.com (WHOIS) – Microsoft does not own the domain.

XboxInfinite.com (WHOIS) – Microsoft does not own the domain.

XboxFusion.com (WHOIS) – Microsoft owns the domain.

XboxNext.com (WHOIS) – Microsoft owns the domain.

XboxGold.com (WHOIS) – Microsoft owns the domain.

So, according to the listings, Xbox Next isn’t off of the table either. However, at this time this is considered a rumor and fusion could possibly be for some sort of accessory or piece of software that goes along with the next Xbox. Hopefully, more information will become clear at the Microsoft Event on May 21st.
