With the onslaught of connection issues plaguing the new SimCity, EA may try something against it’s own DRM scheme in the future. EA has recently tweeted on their Simcity account that they may implement an offline mode to earn back your trust back.
We have no intention of offlining SimCity any time soon but we’ll look into that aspart of our earning back your trust efforts.

This is quite interesting to hear considering Blizzard still hasn’t even folded after the numerous amounts of issues and requesting for a similar solution in regards to Diablo 3’s DRM. If EA does in fact implement an offline mode than perhaps more companies will see how much online only DRM can hurt the games reception and create problems for people who just want to play the game.
Offline mode, shave 20 off the price and sure 🙂
+1 on that and i think im pretty much done with ea, unless they give stuff for 5 bucks
