In an earnings call, Time Warner told inverters that they are working on a new Batman game in the Batman Arkham franchise.
And we also have a strong games release this year, which will include the next release in the Batman Arkham franchise. So all in all, we expect Warners to post another very strong year in 2013. And with a little luck, the year should be as good or maybe even a little bit better than 2012.
What could this game be called? Well, it isn’t that simple it seems as VG24/7 reports quite a few domain listings, so you can take your pick:

Currently Variety reports that the rumored storyline will be a prequel, which revolves around Batman in the 50’s when he first encountered the Joker and formed the Justice League with heroes such as Superman. So, it will be interesting to see if they do throw in any superheroes into the mix in the next game. However, currently the writer for the original two games, Paul Dini, has already confirmed that he is not working on the next project. Furthermore, VG247 claims that they have sources which state that RockSteady may not even be working on the next game either.
“…Justice League with heroes such as Superman.” That sound pretty cool and it appears that this with bring a decent change of pace to the series.
