It seems that a database that tracks Steam entries has added Brutal Legend to its list. For those of you that may not remember, Brutal Legend was an action adventure game with some RTS elements which was directed by Tim Schafer. The story follows Eddie Riggs, voiced by Jack Black, who is thrown into a heavey metal universe.
Unfortunately, all we have to go on is this sudden database entry, but perhaps this is in fact going to happen for PC gamers. If you recall Mr. Schafer recently launched a kickstarter campaign for an adventure game from Double Fine that well exceeded their goal of $400,000 to an astonishing $3,336,371. The kickstarter included states that this kickstarter game is for XBLA, PSN, and PC.
Perhaps, this means that Schafer and Double Fine is interested in the PC space and they want to bring Brutal Legend to coincide with this change of heart.
When previously asked about Brutal Legend coming to PC back in 2009 here is what Tim Schafer had to say:
Well it’s really an action game, that when you play it you’ll see that it was meant to be on a console… We are really focused on the Xbox 360 and PS3 version right now.
If this is true, it would be interesting to see the game on PC, but yes, this game would be coming quite a few years after the console release.
