A rather informal comparison, but impressive nonetheless. On the right, the Nvidia 650M, on the left, the Haswell GT3e prototype:
Mind you, for an Intel GPU, just coming close to the 650M is quite impressive already. The demo shown is running at 1080p at high quality without AA or Vsync.

It’s coming close but not quite the same. Still great stuff. APUs keep getting better 🙂 Wonder how AMD will answer to this though. Seems like intel is hitting them hard in both the cpu and gpu department with haswell and cpus haven’t been amd’s forte for quite some time.
This is great news for anyone who may be in store for a laptop. Hopefully this will get Nvidia and AMD to bring out some of their newer, more afforable, and more powerful mobile GPUs. Now if only manufactures would sell us better laptop displays…
Yeah true. Although I couldn’t care less for a gaming laptop. lol
Check out AMD’s Temash, it’s in a Tablet playing Dirt Showdown pretty damn well.
Just saw that. Seemed pretty good indeed. Well then nothing to worry about in the APU front for AMD I suppose lol
Yea. I was relatively impressed. That was at 1080p as well so….better than consoles in a tablet.
I’m actually mostly surprised at the complete lack of coverage on my normal stomping grounds about Temash. I came across it by chance on through stumbleupon.
Most likely because there has been no official major reveal. Otherwise, I’m sure it’d be all over the place. Everyone has a soft spot for AMD, even if they buy intel.
