Micrsoft is changing the name of their Metro interface for Windows 8. According to sources an internal memo was sent out to employees to stop using the Metro name due to a legal issue with German retailer Metro AG. In fact, some individuals at Microsoft have been downplaying the change by stating that Metro was just a code name for the UI.
So, what could they have possibly changed the name to? It seems that a new name has not been chosen yet, but MS is supposedly calling Metro “Windows 8 style UI” in the mean time.

Greece should sue them too. We have Attiko Metro, being the company that operates our subway in Athens.
Totally related and MS shouldn’t be able to use the word Metro, ever.
yet they used to use the word sidewinder hmmm…. or did they buy the rights to that one
Well THQ used Metro 2033 for their game too. What does it matter? :/
