Perhaps worried about adoption rates, this new price point would make the OS much more available for those sitting on the fence. Assuming of course, they’d get over the lack of a Start Button.
The upgrade price is valid for any Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 machine in a stated 131 markets. If you want a hard copy, you’ll have to pay an extra $15 (plus S&H) for Microsoft to mail you one or buy it at retail for $70.

That’s a reasonable price, but there should be an option to disable Metro and re-enable the start button/menu. Microsoft is really hurting themselves by not having such a basic choice for their users.
Damn, now that’s tempting. Hmm, I just don’t know man. I just don’t know :P.
I told you already, try it and buy it if you like it 😛 The final version that is 😛 40 is a good price indeed (too bad it tranlates to 40 euros….) lol. We could just wait for windows 9 guys!
