The Steam registry has a major entry left over that will possibly make PC gamers rejoice. You may recall Alan Wake was actually suppose to come out on the PC before. Remedy even demoed the game at an Intel conference.
After Remedy showed off some impressive effects for the time at Intel’s conference, the title actually became an Xbox 360 exclusive. Since then we have heard some odd comments such as the dreaded “You can’t play PC games on your couch” statement from a Microsoft representative. However, now Alan Wake PC seems to be a reality if this steam entry found by an alan wake forum member, under the name of kikixmen, is true:
kikixmen also points out that Aki Järvilehto over at Remedy previously stated the following:
We have received feedback from a lot of PC gamers, and I have to admit that yes, we somehow ignored that. Let’s see if in the near future we could have some positive news to tell you about dating!
Is this the real deal? Will Alan Wake actually come to the PC? Well, we will have to wait and find out, but cheers to getting our hopes up in the meantime.

I’m glad to see a failed exclusive has a chance to come to pc 2 years after it was released.
Actually no I’m not.
Same here.
Why should I care about yet another crappy console port? A 2-year-late console port at that?
Ignore us, and we’ll ignore you.
