Popular Nvidia Enthusiast Chris Ray Passes Away

Known by many hardware enthusiasts as a man who constantly tried to push Nvidia to give better support and products to his fellow card owners, Chris “ChrisRay” Arthington has passed away from pneumonia on Janurary 28th 2010. He was 27.

A member of numerous websites including SLIZone,  EVGA, Beyond3D, AnadTech, and many others; ChrisRay was always doing what he could for the community and he developed a great relationship with not only his fellow enthusiasts, but also with many people at Nvidia. He got the chance to test and review many new products, even though he never asked for it. ChrisRay never asked for money for all the work he did, including a number of articles he wrote for the sites he frequented. On top of this, Chris was an advocate for new technology, always trying to get both people and Nvidia to push forward. When people had problem with their Nvidia cards they could always turn to Chris for help.

His friendship with a number of people at Nvidia allowed Chris to be invited to various events and gave him access to new technology from the company, including information on unreleased products. Despite all of this, Chris also took care of his mother who suffers from a long-term illness. He was recently at CES in Las Vegas where it is presumed he got sick and caught pneumonia.
