Sorry folks, there will be no death-match option, just some co-op. Though don’t get too excited, the 4-player co-op that Bioware has just announced will take place outside of the single-player story line… though it will affect it to some degree:
Join your friends in the all-out galactic war to take Earth back. The universe of Mass Effect expands with the addition of new co-op multiplayer missions, playable over Xbox Live, PSN and PC internet. Players can choose from a variety of classes and races, form an elite Special Forces squad, and combine their weapons, powers and abilities to devastating effect as they fight together to liberate key territories from enemy control. Success in multi-player will have a direct impact on the outcome of the single player campaign, giving players an alternative method of achieving ultimate victory against the greatest threat mankind – and the entire galaxy – has ever faced.
This ties in to their new “Galaxy at War” concept which is an add-on or “secondary option” to complete your fight against the giant squids, though personally, I’d much rather have it as a pop-in mechanic for the single-player storyline.

I’d rather it not have any multiplayer at all. They can spin it all they want but adding multiplayer WILL affect the single player. You simply can not making a game that has great SP and great MP, something has to give. EA’s dumbfuck “no single player games” policy is the cause of this and you just know this shit was forced on the team. It only makes me worry about the game and make me decide not to pre-order it and simply wait until after release to decide if I will buy it or not. I am very worried that ME3 is going to be another DA2.
im worried ME3 will be another ME2 even though ME2 was fun all the intricate exploration that the 1st one had was completely removed, if you take illium for example, it was a discgrase and even the new citadel was completely ruined
It was worse than 1 in everything RPG, but was way better in everything action. Jack of both trades, master of none, unfortunately.
3rd one looks like it will have awesome combat though. I’m heavily interested personally. End of the story too, right?
