Although that might actually be merciful to Xbox 360 players as they won’t be facing our 10,000 dpi mice. That’s right folks, the glorious master race will be able to Boom Headshot their Mac and PS3 bretheren with absolute impunity thanks to integrated Steamworks systems for all three platforms.
The lone exception however, will be Xbox 360 players. Microsoft, most likely still reeling after witnessing Xbox gamers get mercilessly slaughtered by their PC counterparts in Shadowrun, has locked them into their own platform.
Other sources have said that Gabe Newell has pushed to get Steamworks on Xbox live, but was rebuffed by Microsoft due to business restrictions. We all know those are just ridiculous fabrications.

crossplatform play of PC and consoles is the most retarded thing i’ve heard… console players would get destroyed…. unless they get a damn good amount of aim assist….
although ps3 vs xbox 360 crossplatform play would be awesome.
at least ps3 users have the option to use kb/m, hopefully CS:GO takes advantage of that
Kinda off topic, I’m a bit dissapointed in the visuals so far, especially seeing that this is coming out almost 8 years after the release of CS:S.
Yeah, im a bit disappointed as well. Even though it is using the updated version of the source engine the visuals just dont seem up to par with other shooters out there.
Yeah but the thing is that CS in general isn’t like other shooters out there. It’s not trying to antagonize those and that’s what they’re betting on.
It’s cool that PC and Mac users will be able to play with PS3 players, but they will be at a stark disadvantage unless they use a mouse controller like Splitfish made (I have it and it works pretty well).
There’s some good news for PS3 owners. It looks like they will be able to use a mouse and keyboard:

I hope it’s like Unreal tournament where PS3 users with KB/M controls are locked to playing only with other ps3 kb/m and pc players…
