This comes just before Nintendo’s recently announced conference precluding TGS. September 13th, that is. Traditionally, Nintendo has used these conferences to announce new games or new hardware in their gaming lineup, and the rumored redesign of the 3DS fits into the fray.
According to 01net, the new redesign will sport an add-on second analog stick that will cost $10 and that the price drop to $170 was to clear out old stock to make room for the new SKU coming in. If true, the second iteration would be early indeed; The DS Lite redesign came well over a year after the phat version was released.
The thing I most regret buying in my life is the 3DS.
lol Well I have to say, better late than never. Took them…. hmmm 10 years? GJ nintendo! 😀
This is the reason I am losing faith in Nintendo…it seems like every year, or less, they pump out a new iteration of their handheld. It’s completely absurd. That’s why I refuse to buy one, because I know that in less than a year, they will announce a newer model. They should focus on making a great product that can last, and not one that constantly becomes outdated.
