Effective August 12th for North America. Still no word on if this also affects pricing for other regions, but it is to be expected. Early adopters who have paid the full $250 will not be left straggling; they will receive 20 games free via the eShop (10 NES games, 10 GBA games), provided they log in once before the price drop.

That seems like a pretty huge drop, especially for it not being out that long at all
32% price drop 5 months after launching. might pick one up now that it’s kind of reasonably priced….
DS was like $150 or something at launch…
That’s a pretty significant price drop. If I was still interested in handheld gaming, I would pick one up for sure. It is also nice to see that Nintendo did not forget those that paid the full $250 by giving them a nice perk. It isn’t the best perk, but it is definitely better than nothing.
