Battlefield 3 Multiplayer To Be Shown At E3

Something that many Battlefield fans have been craving to see since the campaign footage was released. Rejoice fellow Smashers! DICE will be rolling out some multiplayer footage and on-hands gameplay at E3 for all to experience, and by experience we mean watching on it Youtube or some other video site for those of us who are unable to attend.

The demo that will be showcased will feature a map named “Operation Metro” and will allow players to mercilessly slaughter each other using Battlefield’s signature gameplay elements.

And of course, in true DICE fashion, a little dig at Activison regarding the game’s social networking:

Battlefield 3 Battlelog web destination – featuring powerful social tools, feeds and detailed player stats. Battlelog also lets you manage your friends lists, squad up, create platoons, use voice chat and follow your friends’ progress in real-time, and more. Battlelog will be available for the monthly fee of (drum roll)… zero dollars.

Hey, at least they have Charlie Sheen
