ASUS Eee PC 1000HE Review by Arak-Nafein
Introduction
I'll start off by saying that I was pleasantly surprised, and have no buyer's remorse.
This is ASUS's 10" Netbook. The "HE" model has all the bells and whistles. Even better, it only costs ~$400 (Can be had for less)
Quick specs:
N280 Atom @ 1.66Ghz
1 Gig 667Mhz RAM
160 Gig HDD
Intel 945gse Integrated Display. (You can use up to 256Megs of shared memory)
No CD/DVD drive
3 USB 2.0 ports
Built in Ethernet
VGA out (Supports some crazy resolutions)
9 hour battery life
90% full size keyboard
Weight....it's a little heavier than other Netbooks...I'd say a little over 3lbs.
Built in card-reader. (MMC/SD cards... I think it's a 3-in-1 only)
Built in wireless
Built in Blue-tooth
Built in 1.3 MP camera
This thing feels pretty sturdy & solid. The hinges don't feel too flimsy and the plastic feels of-quality. I'm sure with an SSD this thing would be pretty bulletproof.
